Project background:
Earthmoving has collaborated with Vinidex and Aus Pits for more than a decade on projects and developments. These include Wallan Place – a residential subdivision development in Wallan, Victoria – where Vinidex was engaged to provide a stormwater solution using StormPRO® polypropylene pipe that would reduce pit work on site.
The challenge:
Minimise additional pit work and maximise time efficiencies, including the installation of a reliable and maintenance-free stormwater system to mitigate downtime.
The solution:
In collaboration with Vinidex, Aus Pits developed a new system of pipe blockouts to suit the external size of our StormPRO® pipes. In contrast to traditional methods, this improved interface between the pit and StormPRO® products eliminated both the need for additional labour on site and material required to infill voids and bandage around pipes at Wallan Place. By not having to return to pits to perform this rework around pipes, the increased efficiency on site saved the contractor notable time and costs.
